Just a Little JoJo Christmas Playlist – 2019

Hello Friends. I’m regularly asked for my Christmas playlist. My Christmas playlist is 2000 songs long.
Last year I put together a list of 25 songs to count you down to Christmas day. You can find that one here https://justalittlejojo.com/2018/11/26/count-it-down-with-music/

This year I’ve put together a list of 40 songs for you all to enjoy!! https://open.spotify.com/playlist/2GpUVe2R7FA9r9XbOHVxxj

There’s some classics, but maybe in ways or by artists you haven’t heard before. There’s some original Christmas songs, while I love all the carols and traditional’s I do enjoy mixing it up. There’s also a few of my fav’s that I had to cut when I kept last years list to only 25.

Some standouts for me are;

  • Love is Christmas- Sara Bareilles.
I first heard this song on our annual Christmas Eve Carol’s by Candlelight by an Australian Artist (which is beautiful too- Kate Ceberano if you want to check it out). This for me is the joy of Christmas, it’s not about the picture perfect days, but about love.
  • The Christmas Song- Paul McCartney.
This is a must on any Christmas playlist. I loved the beautiful arrangement of this version. Paul McCartney’s vocal is so stripped back and the piano shines through in a magical way.
  • Christmastime Again- Mercy Me.
A great one for a bit of a rock out and some fun.
  • Drunk on Christmas- Tyler Hilton.
Tyler’s new Christmas track which is fun and playful and you can’t help but snap your finger, bop your head and sing along.
  • God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen- Jennifer Nettles & Andra Day.
This is one of my all time favourite Christmas Carols. I’m in love with this version, it’s so raw and edgy. These two women can really sing!
  • A Hand for Mrs Claus- Idina Menzel and Ariana Grande.
Strong Women- may we honour them, may we celebrate them! A fun track by two of the best singers in the business.
  • James TW- Last Christmas.
I shazamed this in Office works the other day. A sweet ballad version of this WHAM stunner. That voice!!

Also, this year I am absolutely loving the Broadways Carols for a Cure albums this year. Check them out for sure.
You can get this album (2014) on itunes but I have not found this particular album on spotify. But you should 100% check out this song- I am here. https://youtu.be/U_vkmFaNnuo
